Beginners Sewing Workshop
Have you ever wanted to learn how to sew?
Learn the basics at Perth Swing Dance Society’s Beginners Sewing Workshop. Bring your (or a borrowed) sewing machine and learn how to make a handy shoe bag. Cute materials will be provided.
If you’ve done some sewing before but would like a refresher, we can jazz up the shoe bag project!
The workshop will cover:
• How to use a sewing machine
• Fundamental sewing skills
• Making a drawstring shoe bag
• What you need in a basic sewing kit
We have a couple of sewing machines to share, but please bring one if you can.
What to bring, if you can:
– Sewing machine with at least one bobbin
– Fabric scissors
Please note: maximum 10 participants for optimum learning
The PSDS Clothes Swap is happening after in the same venue, so bring along any clothes you’d like to swap. You’re also welcome to keep sewing! Practice makes progress 😊
